About The Citizen Biologist

I think one of the best ways to get people of all ages to engage with the natural world and understand the scientific process is to get them outside, doing science! The aim of The Citizen Biologist blog is to promote citizen science by providing information on the various projects available, as well as personal experiences of citizen biologists and news of project accomplishments.  The blog’s focus will be field biology projects- activities that involve getting outside and observing animals and plants- because that is what lights my personal fire.  There are many great citizen science projects in other fields like astronomy and climate, or biology data that you can collect sitting in front of your computer when the weather is rotten.  I will try to provide links to these as well.  If you know of a project that you think should be featured on this blog, please let me know via the contact form and I will get in touch.
